A Mesa voice
I started at Mesa Elementary in my last year of elementary school. Even though my time there was brief, I can say that without a doubt that Mesa changed my life. I am now 18 years old and a freshman at Tulane University, but the impact that Mesa had in my life still resides today. Moving from Memphis, TN, to Boulder at age 9, being able to walk from my home on Heidelberg to Mesa each day created a sense of safety and community for me that could never be replicated. The community that resides in the beautiful space there at the intersection of Heidelberg and Lehigh cannot be found anywhere else. Please, with the wellbeing of Table Mesa’s children and community in mind, Mesa Elementary cannot be closed down.
