Our neighborhood has many families with young pre-school children who in a few years will go to either Mesa or Bear Creek Elem schools. The families chose to live in our neighborhood so their children could go to either school. BVSD Board is being very short-sighted to not provide sufficient educational services to these new families. Class sizes in Bear Creek will be so outrageously large that families will be forced to leave...not to mention the overwhelmed teachers. Keeping Mesa open and evenly distributing students will provide smaller classes that are conducive to better learning. The facility was only recently remodeled and renovated. The BVSD Board should look for other sources of funding to keep Mesa open!
